In-center hemodialysis
Bronx Kidney Care provides in-center hemodialysis on Third Avenue, with early morning and evening chairs so treatment fits around work, family, and the rest of your life. Same team, same chair, every session.
No appointment needed to ask a question.
Our care
Most of our patients come three times a week for treatment that runs three to four hours. We handle the clinical side so you can rest, read, watch something, or sleep through it.
Your prescription is set by your nephrologist and adjusted as your bloodwork and symptoms change.
Treatment on site, monitored start to finish by nurses and technicians who work with dialysis patients every day.
Early morning and evening chairs, Monday through Saturday, so treatment doesn't have to cost you a workday.
If your nephrologist has said it's time to start, we'll walk you through the first weeks and what to bring.
Moving, changing insurance, or after a better schedule. We'll coordinate records with your current unit.
Traveling and need treatment while you're here? Call ahead and we'll check chair availability.
Your first visit
Five steps, and we handle most of them.
Tell us your situation and we'll tell you what we need from you and your nephrologist.
Your dialysis prescription, recent labs, and access details come over from your doctor or your previous unit.
We verify your coverage before your first session so there are no surprises.
Come a little early. We'll show you around, get your weight and vitals, and get you settled in your chair.
You'll have a regular day, time, and chair, and a team who gets to know you.
Why patients stay
First chair at 6:00 AM, six days a week.
The same faces, who notice when something is off.
On Third Avenue, reachable by bus and train.
Modern equipment and room to settle in.
Most dialysis patients are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or a commercial plan. Call us with your insurance details and we'll verify your coverage and explain what you'd be responsible for before you start.
Our team
Your insurance card, ID, a list of your medications, and something warm. Treatment rooms run cool.
Most sessions run three to four hours, three times a week. Your nephrologist sets the exact prescription.
Ask your care team — it depends on your treatment and how you tolerate it. Bring water and a light snack and we'll let you know.
Call us as early as you can and we'll try to move you to another slot. Skipping treatment isn't safe, so we'd rather reschedule than have you miss.
